Carey, a former top fashion model who stands at almost 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was a distinguished geologist, who in 1979 was named Scientist of the year by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was a frequent traveler due to her father's work. When she was attending an institution called the University of Colorado at part-time when she was discovered to be the target of a Ford model Agency representative in New York.
