Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell (nee Robertson; born March 27 1970 height 5' 9 is a American actress who is known for her roles in the role of Dr. Juliet Burke on ABC's television series Lost as well as FBI Agent Erica Evans on V. She's appeared in films such as The Santa Clause 2 The Santa Clause. Gia, and The Escape Clause. Mitchell is currently a co-star in Eric Kripke's television show Revolution that is on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell, her stepfather and Josephine Marian Mitchell are both attorneys in Dallas. Mitchell as well as her mother and two kids moved from New York to Dallas Texas where Mitchell's mother was married in 1975. Mitchell was in the school of Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, TX. It is a public Magnet school. She is the senior of her three sisters, her two sisters are Kristina Kristie Mitchell (the youngest) Mitchell and Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. She graduated in 1991 from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and she was also enrolled in the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for a period of six years at Dallas Theater Center and a time in the Encore Theater. Her most prominent role is currently the role of Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds. In a June 2010 report, her role in Criminal Minds will be diminished during the 6th season. The character of Brewsters left the show in March of 2011 and is expected to come back to the show when she is older.
