In 2017, Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it became the most-streamed song at the time within the space of six months. The song was a mix of reggaeton and pop which not only brought attention to Latin Music, but also reggaeton. Billboard's Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs from 2016 and two songs in 2015. The Despacito album reached its peak chart-topping success in 2017, 19 tracks primarily composed in Spanish reached into the Top 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with an English version in the year 2017 and soon after the most well-known artists began collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018), while Madonna collaborated on Medellin along with Maluma (2019). Reggaeton's mainstreaming was an issue for certain performers in the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a younger generation were keen to keep the look. The genre often incorporated electronic dance and other styles.
